life as a foreign student

  1. HOME
  2. life as a foreign student

We hope that international students will be able to live in Japan with peace of mind,
Faculty and staff will provide detailed support for your study abroad experience as if you were family.

Lifestyle Support

To gain the knowledge necessary to live in Japan and become independent!

Students will learn the rules of Japanese life and be accompanied by a faculty member to assist them with various procedures such as opening a bank account at a government office, switching a driver’s license, and so on.

health care (e.g. for the aged)

Once a year, a medical examination is conducted at a medical institution. In case of illness, injury, or accident, a faculty member will accompany you. Students will be covered by medical insurance for international students (Japanese Language School Joint Association) so that they can visit hospitals without worrying about medical expenses during their stay in Japan.

Part-time support

While enrolled in a Japanese language school, it is possible to work part-time with permission to engage in “activities other than those permitted under the status of residence”. By working part-time using the Japanese you have learned, you can improve your Japanese language skills and gain experience and skills that will lead to your future career.

Life Junior Japanese Language Institute provides dormitories for students.
Through group living in the dormitory, students learn about Japanese lifestyle and manners.
